After agonising over what kind of invitations to use for our engagement party, my fiance ‘L’ and I decided to DIY and make these origami heart invites for our guests. They are cool cause they double as decorations :) I got the idea from Eat Drink Chic which provides a link on their page to a relatively easy to follow instruction video. I have no idea how they managed to position the printed text so perfectly on their invites and because L couldn’t figure it out, he reckons that he will just hand write them when he returns from interstate, apparently because my handwriting is illegible (yeah good luck with that!). 

Instead, I was given the humble duty of choosing and buying pretty paper, and then folding the paper into said invites.

Ta da! Not too shabby. I’m currently up to folding my sixth invite and my fingertips are covered in glitter, not to mention red raw and papercutted. It’s probably a good time for me to rest. Who new origami could hurt so much?
